Becoming Carbon Neutral - Mollart’s Commitment To Sustainability

Sustainable Power Mollart Engineering Resolven

Mollart has invested a quarter of a million pounds on Solar Panels to lower carbon emissions from manufacturing activities at Mollart Engineering (Resolven) Ltd our facility in Wales. The main and most important purpose of this investment is to become a ‘CARBON NEUTRAL’ organisation, as we are committed to paving the way for a sustainable future for the planet.

Supporting the Environment

We made this investment decision in order to find a clean energy solution and become a more environmentally friendly company. At this stage, we are unable to generate zero-carbon emissions; therefore, offsetting is a viable approach to becoming carbon-neutral and supporting our climate contribution.

After doing some research, we found that solar power as a renewable source of energy can significantly reduce our carbon footprint and is an effective alternative to fossil fuels. For us here at Mollart it meets our initial intention of helping to reduce toxic greenhouse gases and therefore reduce our carbon emissions. For us as a company, it makes us feel proud to be able to contribute to helping to protect the atmosphere so that our world will be a healthier and better place for us all to inhabit.

Thank you to Hassie Electrical Ltd who successfully installed the 300KW solar PV system at our Resolven Site. It has allowed us to self-consume over 70% of the electricity generated so far, and our energy consumption has also been reduced by almost 50%!

Moving Towards a More Sustainable Future

This is just the first step on our path to becoming a carbon neutral company. We are working hard at Mollart to make carbon emission reductions where possible in order to reduce our carbon footprint. Ongoing monitoring and by analysing where our company emits the most, enables us to take action and make improvements where it’s required.
